Bolton Remembrance Day Service

The Deputy Mayor of Westhoughton, Cllr Sarita Chohan, attended the Bolton Service of Remembrance – Sunday, 9th November 2025. She writes:

‘I had the honour of being invited to and attending the Bolton Service of Remembrance, accompanied by my husband and my Consort, Rishi Chohan.

We were privileged to represent Westhoughton Town Council at this poignant ceremony, honouring the memory of the men and women who have given their lives in service to our country.

The service, led by Reverend Hannah Lane, was a dignified and heartfelt occasion. Wreaths were presented and laid at the war memorial by the Mayor of Bolton and representatives from across Bolton and Greater Manchester.

It was a true privilege to take part in this act of remembrance and to reflect on the courage, dedication, and sacrifice of those who served. ’
