The New Youth Council!

Yesterday was the 1st introductory meeting of the Town’s Youth Council. The Mayor, Councillor Gillian Wroe, welcomed the pupils along with the Chair of the Youth Council, Mrs Lynne Price. Two pupils from each of the Westhoughton Primary Schools attended and got to know each other. They had a discussion to decide what they would wear to identify them at Civic Events (to which they will be invited) and at school and decided some of the important issues they want to discuss at their next meeting in October! Watch this space in the next academic year to see what the young people would like for the Town in the future!
