Art Competition High School Winner

Written by Mayor of Westhoughton, Cllr Gillian Wroe, “On Monday I visited Westhoughton High School to present Gabriel with a prize for producing a winning artwork in the Art Competition, held by Westhoughton Town Council and the Westhoughton Branch of the Royal British Legion, to mark the 80th Anniversary of VE Day. 

The Chair of the Royal British Legion, Marcus Pollard, and I had a difficult task in choosing the winning pieces out of the wonderful submitted entries. Gabriel’s beautiful work reminded us of the new Union Flag bought last year by the Westhoughton RBL.”
