Senior Solutions 10k Walk

On Saturday morning ,16th August, the Mayor of Westhoughton, Cllr Gillian Wroe, had an important speech to make! She writes:

‘On Saturday at 10am I went to Senior Solutions to make a short speech to the 30 or so volunteers who were about to embark on a 10k sponsored walk. I joked that by the power of the Mayoral Chain I had ordered the beautiful weather for the walk.

Then, just before they set off I announced that I’d decided to join in the walk too.

The walk took us to many familiar landmarks around Westhoughton, including Senior Solutions Allotment, Hart Common Golf Club and Westhoughton Town Hall (all landmarks shown on the map).

It was a fantastic day with lots of camaraderie, smiles and hopefully lots of money raised for Senior Solutions.
