Save Haven in Westhoughton

Mayor of Westhoughton Councillor Sarita Chohan writes:

“It was a pleasure for my Consort, Rishi, and I to attend the grand opening of Safe Haven Bolton at their new premises, 86 Market Street, Westhoughton on Friday 3rd July.

We received a very warm welcome from Kayleigh Harwood, Registered Manager, and her dedicated team, who are clearly passionate about the invaluable support they provide within our community.

One of the highlights of our visit was meeting Garry, one of the many people supported by Safe Haven Bolton. Garry shared his inspiring journey, saying:

"My life would have been over three years ago had it not been for Safe Haven Bolton. They help me with my bills, attending groups and so much more."

His words are a powerful reminder of the life-changing difference this wonderful organisation makes every day.

The centre itself offers a warm, welcoming and safe environment, with comfortable spaces upstairs, downstairs and in the beautiful back garden, providing a place where people can feel supported, valued and connected.

Safe Haven Bolton is committed to promoting autonomy, dignity and quality of life for people experiencing mental health difficulties, and I wish Kayleigh, her team and everyone involved every success as they continue their incredible work.

Thank you for inviting us to be part of such a special occasion. Wishing Safe Haven Bolton every success in their new home.”
