FREEA Event

Mayor of Westhoughton, Councillor Sarita Chohan writes:

I feel truly humbled and privileged to have played a small part in the relaunch celebration of a fantastic charity, now proudly known as FREEA.

It was wonderful to share the occasion with so many inspiring people, including the Mayor of Preston, Cllr Nweeda Khan, the Mayor of Horwich, Kevin McKeon, and many others.

The entertainment for the evening was provided by the incredibly talented young band Long Haul. Aged between just 13 and 17, they were absolutely outstanding and have a bright future ahead of them.

FREEA has been created and led by the amazing duo Laura and Emma, whose own experiences and journeys with mental health have inspired them to support countless women through difficult times. They provide calm, compassionate guidance and have created safe spaces where there is no judgement, no pressure—just understanding and support.

They may have a new name and a fresh new look, but their mission remains the same: helping those who need it most.
