Bolton Ironman - Sunday 7th June 2026

Councillor Linda Maher, Deputy Mayor of Bolton writes:

“The first few bike riders through Westhoughton this morning before 8am.

1,700 people on Fridays night run. 6,000 kids on Saturdays Ironkids. 2,700 people in today’s Ironman. 2/3rds of today’s competitors were doing Ironman for the very first time. What an achievement for everyone. The first man Levin Veale achieved a new record time of sub 4 hours. The first woman Katie Walker 4.33 hrs, she was also first in 2025. Cllr Neil Maher and I had a brilliant day cheering all the runners on and later helping to had out the medals and passing on our congratulations. A very big ‘well done’ to everyone your all winners.”
