Oompah Charity Night!

The Mayor of Westhoughton, Cllr Gillian Wroe, is pleased to announce:

‘My ‘Mayor’s Oompah Night’ last Friday raised a total of £769.89 (tickets and raffle) for my two fantastic charities ‘Westhoughton Assist Service’ and ‘The Hoggery’.

Thank you to:

Tyldesley Band and ‘Herr Hertz Van Rental’ for providing the great music, fun and entertainment.

Everyone who bought tickets and attended the event.

Westhoughton Cricket Club for providing the room for free.

Everyone who generously donated raffle prizes, especially local businesses- The Glass Onion, Indie’s Attic, Arm Candi, The Tan Bank, The Beer School and Rishi’s.

Cindy and Elaine for selling the raffle tickets and Deputy Town Clerk Lindsay for ensuring things ran smoothly.

Westhoughton is fortunate in having a great community with people who selflessly give up their time to help others. Please consider volunteering or supporting the many organisations around our town.’
