Horwich Civic Sunday

Mayor of Westhoughton Councillor Sarita Chohan writes:

“It was an honour to attend the Civic Ceremony of Horwich Town, held at the beautiful Holy Trinity Church, followed by a lovely reception at Regents Golf Club.

My sincere thanks to the Horwich Town Council Mayor Councillor Kevin McKeon, and Mayoress Mrs Irene McKeon, for their warm hospitality and for inviting us to be part of such a special occasion.

It was also a pleasure to be in the company of fellow dignitaries, including the Mayor and Mayoress of Bolton, Councillor Iqbal and Mrs Iqbal, and the Mayor of Adlington, Councillor Alison Rothwell, together with her consort.

Civic ceremonies provide a wonderful opportunity to celebrate community spirit, friendship, and public service, and it was a privilege to share in the day.
