Carers Event

Yesterday (24th), Westhoughton Primary Care Network invited the Mayor of Westhoughton to an event arranged by their Social Prescribers for carers in Westhoughton. Cllr Gillian Wroe writes:

‘Although the weather was cold and windy it was cosy in the hut at Daisy Hill CC Community Garden where the launch of the new carers event was taking place. It is planned to invite carers to the garden every Tuesday from 11am-1pm, a place where they can chat over a cuppa and relax - hopefully in better weather!

Thank you to Julie Wright, Lead Social Prescribing Linkworker, for inviting me and all the support workers and attendees for the warm welcome. And a big shout out to Martin and Vicky for creating and maintaining the beautiful garden, providing such a calm and safe space for anyone visiting this special space.’
