Blackrod Charity Ball

On Saturday 28th March the Mayor and Deputy Mayor of Westhoughton, Cllrs Gillian Wroe and Sarita Chohan, attended the Mayor of Blackrod’s Charity Ball. Cllr Wroe writes:

‘We were delighted to be able to join the Mayor of Blackrod Cllr Kathryn Grant, and her consort Cllr David Grant, for her charity event held in the former Methodist Church, now a stunning community space ‘Luciano’s at the Chapel’.

The guests included the Mayor and Consort of Horwich, Deputy Mayor and Mayoress of Bolton, Mr Phil Brickell MP, local councillors and representatives of the Mayor’s three charities.

We enjoyed a wonderful meal, followed by entertainment from Dean Stansby who got us up dancing, a chance to play roulette and blackjack plus of course the obligatory raffle and auction.

Thank you to the Mayor, staff and supporters for a memorable evening. We hope that you raised a lot of money for Bolton Hospice, Bolton Wanderers in the Community and the Childhood Eye Cancer Trust.’
