Raising of the Armed Forces Flag at Bolton

Councillor Linda Maher, Deputy Mayor attended Bolton Raising of the Armed Forces Flag to mark the start of the Armed Forces week, culminating in a celebration in Victoria Square next Saturday. She writes:

“A really well attended event with a good representation from the Westhoughton Branch of the RBL. Followed by a Veterans lunch in the town hall with donations from 3 Bolton businesses, Carrs Pasties, Park Cakes Bolton and Bank Top Brewery. Entertained by the brilliant singing of Jo Farrow with war time songs.”
