Ladybridge Singers Gala Concert

Mayor of Westhoughton Councillor Sarita Chohan writes:

“It was an honour to attend the Ladybridge Singers Gala Concert in support of Young Lives vs Cancer, held in the beautiful Horwich Parish Church.

I was delighted to attend alongside my Consort and husband, Rishikesh Chohan, and in the company of fellow dignitaries including Mayor of Bolton Cllr Iqbal, the Mayor of Horwich Town Council , Cllr Kevin McKeon and Mayoress Mrs Irene McKeon, and Richard Harrison - Mayor of Blackrod and Mayoress Mrs Sarah Harrison. We all received a very warm welcome.

The evening's programme was simply enchanting, featuring a wonderful selection of popular songs, folk music and traditional pieces performed by the talented choir, together with beautiful solo performances. Favourite songs such as You Raise Me Up, Blue Moon, Super Trooper and My Heart Will Go On had the audience captivated. I could have happily listened to them all night!

A special congratulations to the choir and their amazing conductor, Mr Alan Beedie, for delivering such a melodious and memorable performance.

The evening also included a raffle with many fantastic prizes, helping to raise both funds and awareness for the incredible work of Young Lives vs Cancer.

All in all, it was a truly magical and musical evening, enjoyed by everyone in attendance. Thank you to the Ladybridge Singers for a wonderful gala concert and for supporting such an important cause.”
