95th Annual Dinner at Westhoughton Golf Club

The Mayor and Mayoress of Westhoughton Cllrs Gillian Wroe and Deirdre McGeown were invited to the 95th Annual Dinner at Westhoughton Golf Club on Friday 24th October. The Mayor writes:

‘On Friday we were honoured guests at the top table at the annual dinner of Westhoughton Golf Club. The hosts were Captains Mr Ken Wallace and Mrs Jennifer Walls.

We enjoyed a delicious meal, served in the beautifully decorated room, and the company of fellow guests Mr David and Mrs Moira Purtill.

Following the meal the toastmaster Mr John Roberts skillfully introduced the various speakers who gave very entertaining speeches.

The President of the Club, Mrs Anne Whittaker, outlined the successes of the club in competitions over the past year.

We would like to thank the club for their kind invitation and wish them continuing success in the future.’
