Town Clerk Retires
On Monday 29th September, our Town Clerk, Pauline Rowley, attended her last Westhoughton Town Council meeting before her retirement on Tuesday 30th.
After the meeting the Mayor of Westhoughton, Cllr Gillian Wroe, gave a vote of thanks speech to Pauline recognising her contribution to the efficient running of the council during her tenure. Pauline was presented with her retirement gift, a David Austin rose bush called ‘Grace’ and a patio pot to plant it in.
Westhoughton Town Councillors wish Pauline a long and happy retirement. Since she is a very active person we know that she won’t be sitting at home doing nothing!
