Bolton Mayor’s Charity Ball

On Friday the 6th March the Mayor of Westhoughton, Cllr Gillian Wroe, attended the Mayor of Bolton’s Charity Ball in the Festival Hall at Bolton Town Hall. She writes:

‘It was an honour and a pleasure to support the Mayor and Mayoress of Bolton, Cllr David and Mrs Val Chadwick on this very special occasion. I was accompanied this time by Westhoughton Deputy Mayor, Cllr Sarita Chohan.

We both enjoyed meeting Mayors, Mayoresses and Consorts from every borough in Greater Manchester, as well as Horwich and Blackrod, in the beautiful Mayor’s Parlour.

It was a wonderful evening with good food, great entertainment and fantastic company. It was heartwarming to see the community and councillors of Westhoughton come together to support the Mayor and celebrate the occasion with a group photo.

We hope that the evening raised lots of money for his chosen charities Critical Care Unit at Royal Bolton Hospital, Bolton Wanderers in the Community and of course Westhoughton Assist Service.
