Westhoughton Mayor Supports New Bolton Mayor!

On Wednesday 14th May, our Mayor (Councillor Gillian Wroe) supported another Westhoughton Councillor as he was inaugurated as Bolton Mayor!

Today, as Mayor of Westhoughton, I attended the inauguration of the new Mayor of Bolton, Cllr David Chadwick, well known to us in Westhoughton as he is a local councillor on Westhoughton Town Council as well as on Bolton Council. 

I wish David, and his Mayoresses Mrs Val Chadwick and Mrs Victoria Whittle, well in this Mayoral year.

It was the last official duty for the outgoing Mayor of Bolton Cllr Andy Morgan and Mayoress Karen Holdsworth who have had a fantastic year.

The ceremony was held in the beautiful Bolton Council Chambers.

Accompanying me today was the Mayoress of Westhoughton, Cllr Deirdre McGeown. We were pleased to be seated with the new Mayor of Blackrod, Cllr Kathryn Grant and her consort Cllr David Grant and the new Mayor of Horwich Cllr Victoria Rigby and her consort Mr Harry Booth.
