Well Done Children! Thank you from us all!

On the 12th June, as Mayor of Westhoughton and on behalf of Westhoughton Town Council, I presented a grant cheque to the Westhoughton Central Park Bowling club to pay for their beautiful flower displays. 

Then on the 25th June I was given the awful news that someone had vandalised and stolen some of the plants. The members of the club were naturally upset and angry about what had happened. They posted pictures on social media. 

The Eco group at The Gates Primary School came to the rescue with their own plants which they took to the club and planted in the garden and planters. 

Well done children. We, at Westhoughton Town Council, appreciate all your efforts and we know how happy you made those members of the club. You are all amazing and a credit to your families, school and community!’
