The Big Plant

Westhoughton Town Council has once again purchased 3000 daffodil bulbs for planting around our town.

Thank you to all the Westhoughton schools, The Friends of Westhoughton Station and Daisy Hill Community Garden for accepting the bulbs and for your commitment to plant them.

Yesterday, Sunday, an enthusiastic group of volunteers joined Councillors Alison Jackson, Linda Maher, David Wilkinson and Gillian Wroe in Hall Lee Bank Park to plant around 680 bulbs.

Thank you Amy and daughters Thea and Lyra, Frankie and her teenage daughters Jasmine and Cheryl, Chris and his dog Etta for all your hard work.

Next Spring Westhoughton will be blooming lovely!
