Bolton Mayor’s Civic Walk

It was an honour and privilege to attend the Civic Service of the Mayor of Bolton, Councillor Mohammed Iqbal, held at the beautiful Bolton Parish Church.

Thank you and congratulations to Mayor Cllr Mohammed Iqbal on such a lovely and well organised service. It was wonderful to join fellow dignitaries including the Deputy Lieutenant of Greater Manchester Judith Bromley, Chief Executive of Bolton Council Sue Johnson, the Mayor of Blackrod Cllr Richard Harrison and Mayoress Sarah Harrison, the Mayor of Horwich Kevin McKeon, my Deputy Mayor of Westhoughton Cllr Linda Maher, members of the Royal British Legion from Westhoughton, and many others from across the borough.

I felt truly humbled and proud to represent Westhoughton at today’s special Civic Service. Events such as these highlight the strength of our communities, partnerships, and shared commitment to public service.
