Mayor of Horwich Charity Night

On Saturday the Mayor and Mayoress of Westhoughton, Cllrs Gillian Wroe and Deirdre McGeown, attended the Mayor of Horwich’s Charity Dinner.

Cllr Wroe writes:

‘The Mayoress and I were delighted to support the Mayor of Horwich, Cllr Victoria Rigby, at her charity fundraising event in the stunning Rivington Barn.

We were seated at the table with the Mayors of Horwich and Blackrod and their consorts, as well as the Mayors and Mayoresses of Bolton and Chorley. We enjoyed their conversation and friendship.

There was a wonderful string quartet who entertained us during the delicious meal, followed by a DJ playing popular tracks and a raffle and auction.

It was a very enjoyable evening and we hope that there a lot of money was raised for the charities at the end of Cllr Rigby’s mayoral year.’
