St George’s Day Celebrations!

The Mayor & Mayoress of Westhoughton, Cllrs Neil and Linda Maher attended the the St George's Day Banquet being held on Saturday 19th April. St George's Day official date is 23rd April.

Councillor Maher said "we attended the Royal Society of St George’s Banquet at the Albert Hall, Bolton. The society is a non political organisation that celebrates and promotes English traditions.

The event successfully raised vital funds to support the ongoing work of Bolton Wanderers in the Community. These contributions will help fund a wide range of programmes in Bolton and Westhoughton."
