Hong Kong Vibes

on Saturday 7th February , the Mayor of Westhoughton Cllr Gillian Wroe and her Mayoress Cllr Deirdre McGeown were invited to a celebration of Chinese New Year. Cllr Wroe writes:

‘We were absolutely delighted to accept an invitation to the Hub, along with our fellow councillors, to be guests of our Hong Kong community in Westhoughton.

Karen Millington and Po Ling collaborated to put on this superb celebration of the culture of our newest members of Westhoughton.

The Hub was packed with people from all backgrounds eager to join in the various activities on offer. We enjoyed all the activities and loved tasting the traditional Chinese food.
