Mic’d Up: Mayor Goes Live!

This morning the Mayor of Westhoughton, Cllr Gillian Wroe, was interviewed on the radio. She writes:

‘I was thrilled to be invited along to Bolton FM Radio to be a guest on the morning show with presenters Andrew Dickson and Phil Ashcroft. They were very welcoming and immediately put me at ease.

We chatted about Westhoughton and about what I’ve been doing as Mayor. I explained the history and the significance of the various links on the chain.

I mentioned that it was my 37th engagement since May! They asked me if I was enjoying being Mayor and of course I said yes. It’s an honour and and a pleasure to meet the many lovely people who do so much for our community.

The spot on the radio was quite short as they had other guests but I have an open invitation to go back to talk about events in Westhoughton.’
