Curry Night

Last night the Mayor of Westhoughton, Cllr Gillian Wroe, attended a charity event in Leyland. She writes:

‘I was delighted to attend a ‘Curry Night’ in Leyland to support the Mayor of South Ribble Cllr Paul Wharton Hardman in his charity appeal for his four charities.

It was held in the ‘New Viceroy’ in Leyland and was attended by several Mayors and Mayoresses/Consorts from around Lancashire, representatives of the charities and members of the public.

My husband stepped in at the last minute to accompany me when my Mayoress was unable to attend. We both enjoyed the food and the company.

As we all come to the end of our mayoral years there was plenty of talk about what we’ve enjoyed and the connections we’ve made.

Thank you to the Mayor and his Consort Chris for a very warm welcome and a wonderful evening.’
