Mayor Visits Washacre Primary School

Written by Cllr Gillian Wroe, Mayor of Westhoughton ‘On Friday I was invited, as Mayor of Westhoughton, to the celebration assembly at Washacre Academy Primary School. What a lovely joyous occasion, which included photos and videos of the Year 6 trip to Robin Wood outdoor pursuits camp and the recent school sports day. 

I was there also to present a grant cheque of £500, on behalf of Westhoughton Town Council, to the PTA of the school. This was to fund a trip by the current Year 5 to Imperial War Museum North, as part of the history curriculum.
