Bowling Club Cheque

Written by Cllr Gillian Wroe, Mayor of Westhoughton ‘On Thursday I went to the Westhoughton Central Park Vets Bowling Club to present a grant cheque on behalf of Westhoughton Town Council. The money was to buy plants for the planters around the green, brightening up this corner of the park.

Pictured are Pat Wrigley, Secretary and Treasurer of the club, receiving the cheque and Jim Hargreaves who sourced and planted the plants.

As Mayor of Westhoughton it’s always a pleasure to visit groups and organisations around Westhoughton. We are fortunate to have many groups who offer different activities or support for the members of our community.’
