Annual Town Meeting

Mayor of Westhoughton, Councillor Sarita Chohan writes:

“It was an honour to host our Annual Town Meeting this evening. It was wonderful to welcome so many Councillors, residents, community groups and organisations from across Westhoughton. The evening provided a fantastic opportunity for groups to showcase the incredible work they do within our community and to be recognised for their dedication and commitment.

We also heard from organisations who have received grants from the Town Council, sharing how this funding has supported their projects and benefited local residents. It was inspiring to hear about the positive difference being made across our town.

Our Town Clerk also presented the Council’s Annual Report and Annual Accounts, highlighting the work and achievements of the Council over the past year.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who attended and continues to play such an important role in making Westhoughton such a strong and caring community.
