Rotary Club - Books4Home

Mayor of Westhoughton, Councillor Sarita Choahn writes:

It was a pleasure to be invited by the Westhoughton Rotary Club and its President, Mr Ollie Young, along with Vice President Christine Walsh, to learn more about their wonderful "Books4Home" project, which has donated 200 books suitable for a range of primary school age groups.

The project encourages the collection and sharing of pre-loved books, helping to reduce waste and prevent books from ending up in landfill, while at the same time inspiring and educating young minds through reading.

This fantastic initiative was warmly received by the children and staff at Washacre Primary School, including Headteacher Mr Howarth, who were delighted to receive the generous donation.

A huge thank you to the Westhoughton Rotary Club for their continued support of our young people and their love of reading.

Happy reading to everyone at Washacre Primary School!”
