Washacre Summer Fair

Mayor of Westhoughton Councillor Sarita Chohan writes:

“It was a great pleasure for my Consort, Rishi, and me to return to Washacre Primary Academy for their annual Summer Fair.

The event was a wonderful celebration of community spirit, with an array of fantastic stalls, fun activities, and, most importantly, so many smiling faces from children, families, staff, and visitors. It was heartwarming to see everyone coming together to support the school and enjoy such a vibrant afternoon.

Events like these highlight the strength of our community and the dedication of those who give their time to organise successful fundraising events that benefit our young people.

My sincere thanks and congratulations to the Headteacher, staff, PTA, volunteers, and everyone who contributed to making the Summer Fair such a tremendous success. It was a pleasure to support this wonderful community event.
