AFVBC Christmas Party

The Mayor of Westhoughton, Cllr Gillian Wroe, was invited to attend the Armed Forces & Veterans Breakfast Club on Saturday 13th December. She writes:

‘It was delight and an honour to attend the AFVBC Christmas Party held today at Heywood Young People’s Centre in Bolton.

I received a warm welcome from the Simon Skirving, Chairman of the Club, and the organisers of the event.

I shared a table with The Mayor and Mayoress of Bolton Cllr David and Mrs Val Chadwick, Westhoughton Cllrs Neil and Linda Maher and Bolton Cllrs Richard Silvester and Liam Barnard.

A delicious buffet was laid on for the guests and Keiran Arnold entertained us.

I’d like to congratulate the club for their time and dedication in supporting our veterans and wish them all the best for Christmas and the New Year.’
