Raising of The Flag

Written by Cllr Gillian Wroe “Yesterday, as Mayor of Westhoughton, it was an honour to attend the Armed Forces Day service in the Victoria Square, Bolton. During the service the Armed Forces Flag was raised above Bolton Town Hall.

It was wonderful to see so many veterans attending alongside civic dignitaries, councillors and members of the public.

Bolton Council commemorate Armed Forces Day each year. On Saturday the week will conclude with a service at 10.30am on the Town Hall Square and displays, music, competitions and activities for all the family until 3.30pm.
