St James’ Church Carol Concert

On the evening of Sunday 21st December the Mayor of Westhoughton, Cllr Gillian Wroe, attended a Carol Service in Daisy Hill. She writes:

‘Thank you to Rev Dr Malcom Wearing, Team Vicar of St James’ Church, Daisy Hill for inviting me to read a lesson at your Carol Service. It was lovely to see the church so full with adults and children coming together to enjoy this special service.

The traditional nine readings and carols service was held in the beautiful and atmospheric candle lit church. A choir made up of members of the congregation, especially for the service, tunefully led us in the singing.

I would like to wish everyone at St James Church and School a very Happy Christmas and a peaceful New Year.’
